Capital Expansion Project

This was the largest capital project in District history

This project spanned the district’s 20 schools over the course of four years, bringing them up to date with New York State Learning Standards, technology and telecommunications.

The project addressed school/ community space which included new classrooms, multi-purpose rooms, storage, fields, gymnasium, auditorium renovations, technology and telecommunications upgrades, infrastructure repairs, roadways/paving and landscaping, and general renovations. Significant additions and renovations have been made to 14 elementary schools, three middle schools and four high schools. Main entrances to each building received security and appearance enhancements. Each school and program remained functional throughout the construction phases. Work at the Odyssey Middle School included careful restoration to maintain the architectural integrity of the 1920s building.

A major component of the project was the construction of a Performing Arts Center with seating capacity for almost 1,650 at Athena Middle/High School. To maximize the auditorium’s capacity without adding to the dimensions of the designed space, a 500-seat balcony was included.

In 2018, Campus provided pre-referendum services to the District for its three-part project consisting of a transportation facility and support services, athletic fields, and capital improvements. Campus is currently providing construction management services for the transportation facility and support services project, which is slated to be complete in 2021. Visit our client at www.greece.k12.ny.us
