► TONA2020 Elementary School Improvement & Consolidation

Tonawanda City School District's three aging elementary school facilities all required significant improvements to meet current building and educational program standards. This project is is the culmination of years of planning and evaluation by a committee including district representatives, community members, and consultants. Rather than continuing to invest in all three facilities, the TONA2020 committee unanimously recommended an elementary school consolidation project. The plan included closing the Mullen and Riverview elementary schools, plus a significant school upgrade at Fletcher Elementary. The improvements to the Fletcher campus ensure that all elementary students will benefit from increased and improved space in a 21st Century educational facility.

• Receiving & deliveries area

Site Work:

• New expanded bus loop
• New staff parking, visitor parking, and parent drop-off loop
• New play field area
• New ADA accessible playgrounds
