This was a two-phased renovation on the first floor of the hospital above the kitchen/cafeteria and directly below the Operating Room (OR). During pre-construction, Campus assisted with submission of the Certificate of Need (CON) to the NYS Department of Health (DOH). Phase 1 converted existing office space into a lab facility, and Phase 2 renovated a 1950s lab facility into supplemental lab space & staff offices. Partially funded by a NYS grant, the project included MWBE participation goals and required MWBE contract & voucher reimbursement reporting. ICRA & pandemic-related requirements/standards were adhered to. All work was performed in a hospital with 24/7 operations, requiring a heightened level of communication and coordination.
