Williamsville Project Reaches New Heights — Literally!

Williamsville CSD A/C Project Really Takes Off with Successful Helicopter Pick

On May 3, the Williamsville CSD team had their first of two helicopter picks in support of the District's Air Conditioning Project. The team successfully carried out 40 picks of custom Roof Top Units and ancillary HVAC equipment at two separate locations in just over 3 hours!

Over the course of several months, the team worked strategically to develop job-specific safety plans, a helicopter lift plan, congested area work plans, and crowd control plans – all of which were then submitted to and approved by the FAA.

Now that the team is through the first critical milestone pick date, they look forward to finishing strong on the current phase of work. This includes air conditioning at three elementary schools before moving on to Phase Two for the latter three elementary schools.
