Thumbs Up to Lake Shore CSD's New Electric Bus Fleet
Lake Shore Team Joins Celebration at Electric Bus Ribbon Cutting
After supporting Lake Shore Central School District through a successful pre-referendum phase, Campus is managing the four construction phases of their $59.5 million Capital Improvement Project. This is Campus' second project for the District, with the previous $59.8M Capital Construction Project finishing in 2024.
The delivery of 20 new electric school buses marked a major milestone for this latest project, and a ribbon cutting was held at the Transportation Center on June 30, 2025. With electrical and structural work, infrastructure, and a new bus parking lot successfully in place under a tight deadline, the District was able to celebrate one of the largest single-district electric bus deployments in New York State. The initiative was made possible with a $7.9 million grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, along with additional funding sources and support from local, state, and federal partners. The new EV buses are already in service, and the District anticipates saving up to $15,000 annually per bus.
