Robert Brown School of Construction and Design Debuts

According to national and local research, the construction trades are experiencing a shortage of skilled workers — a problem that may continue to escalate since many of the industry's skilled workers are nearing retirement and fewer young people are pursuing careers in the construction trades. UNICON and the Rochester City School District recently made strides to train local students for construction careers with the debut of the Robert Brown School of Construction and Design. Campus CMG participated in the school's Orientation Day, where incoming freshmen listened to presentations from trade professionals and got involved in hands-on demonstrations.
